Broken Brackets & Wires
If you have a broken bracket, you will see it able to slide back and forth on the wire. This is not an emergency, but please let us know before your next visit so we can plan to fix the problem.
Wax can be used to help secure a broken bracket if it is causing discomfort. This can also provide relief from ulcers that may be rubbing against the edges of a bracket.
A loose or long wire can irritate the cheeks. Please reach out so we can help trim the wires back to make them more comfortable as needed.
